Buscot weir and Buscot Park
There are two bits to Buscot NT.The country house and grounds of Buscot Park has some interesting features.
The water garden is worth a walk down to the lake as is the terrace in front of the house. The swing garden is fun for adults, never mind kids.
The jewel at Buscot for me though is the weir. The car park is in the village and a short walk takes you to the pond and weir, If you go to the Lock there are pleasant walks along the Thamespath in both directions, Be warned though the paths are rough tracks with gates and are not suitable for bikes.
Unfortunately there is a planning application to convert the old water plant at Brandy Island to a marina and if this goes through the character will be irrevocably changed - and not for the better in my opinion. The car park and road through the village will definitely NOT cope.

I have lodged a formal objection to it
